The sex symbol of the USSR. Really magic unattainable princess. Both for common people and members of Politburo ;-). The first secretary of Leningrad Obcom of Communist Party (probably the second, if no the first, most powerful person in the USSR kind of Dick Cheney under Bush II in Brezhnev regime; he later competed with Gorbachov for the position of the First Secretary of the CPSU and lost) was her devoted fan.
A very talented singer, beautiful woman, unique, really unique, strong personality despite fragile appearance of Cinderella.  Quite difficult life with abuse in family, certain periods out popularity, when she was force to move to Arctic North, Maragan (the place with -40F in winter with of GULAG camps for US reader) to survive. But she preserved her unique cheerful personality till the end of file life (at 67 years old from cancer).
Her favorite writer was Jerome K. Jerome not a typical favorite author for popular singers.
A huge loss for us. RIP.

Хороших и просто великолепно исполнененных песен, конечно, у Людмилы Сенчиной намного больше. Чтобы еще раз убедиться в этом, стоит хотя бы взглянуть на этот плейлист.

Сегодня народная артистка России Людмила Сенчина скончалась в Петербурге. 13 января Людмила Петровна отмечала юбилей - 70 лет. Хотя актриса и певица говорила, что родилась 13 декабря 1950 года. В последние годы она долгое время болела.

Приехав из Украины, Сенчина в 1966 году поступила на отделение музыкальной комедии Музыкального училища им. Н.А. Римского-Корсакова при Ленинградской консерватории. В 1970 году Сенчину зачислили в штат Театра музыкальной комедии. Именно в те годы Людмила исполнила на новогоднем "Голубом огоньке" песню "Золушка", ставшую на многие годы ее визитной карточкой. Так началась ее всесоюзная слава.

"Росбалт Like" собрал 10 песен, которые сделали Людмилу Сенчину известной не одному поколению в странах бывшего СССР.

Lyudmila Petrovna Senchina (Russian: Людми́ла Петро́вна Се́нчина; 13 January 1948[5] or 13 December 1950,[6] – 25 January 2018) was a Soviet, Ukrainian and Russian singer (soprano).

In 1979 she was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist of the RSFSR and in 2002 the title of People's Artist of Russia[1][5]. Merited Artist of Ukraine (2003)[7]. She made popular such songs as "Cinderella" (Russian: Золушка), "Stones" (Russian: Камушки), "Love and Separation" (Russian: Любовь и разлука), "White Acacia" (Russian: Белая акация), "Birthday" (Russian: День рождения), "White Dance" (Russian: Белый танец), "Field Flowers" (Russian: Полевые цветы).[8]

Senchina also acted in several movies. Her most famous film was Armed and Dangerous (Russian: Вооружён и очень опасен), in which she played the lead female role.

Senchina died on January 25, 2018 in a hospital in St. Petersburg after a long illness.[9][10]
