OK, this may be old news, but I heard and saw it only recently
and me thinks it's quite a laugh.

   In MicroSoft Windows 3.x, open the 'Accessoires' group. Open
   'Calculator'. Enter

      3.11 - 3.1

   in the calculator, and hit '='.
   ROTFL! Behold: the difference between 3.11 and 3.1.

and another one:

   MicroSoft Windows For WorkGroups: Why Just Crash One If You
   Can Crash Six.

       Часть N1 (фронтовая).

     Прибегает растерянный Петька к Чапеву с шашкой в одной руке,
модемом в другой, а в зубах концы телефонного провода сомкнуты.
- Ты, Петька, с луны свалился?
- Не с луны, а узла РЕВКОМА свалил, кое-как...
- Бестолковый ты, Петька, не РЕВКОМ, а РЕЛКОМ.
- Один черт - там нынче БЕЛЫЕ!
- Шибко пужливый ты, Петька. Белые, нынче говорят, это как раз и есть НАШИ.
  Там еще и ГОЛУБЫЕ есть, с теми вообще надо быть поласковее -
  они законодатели моды.
- (подозрительно) Ты какую из революций, Василь Иванович, осуществляешь?
- Не все слова я могу тебе сегодня сказать, Петька, но меньшинства,
  на которые ты, Петька, намекаешь, завсегда против монополии.
  И их не следует с меньшевиками путать.
- Да ведь эта вражья сила к нашему красному флагу свои
  голубую и белую полоски пришпандорили.
  За кого теперь под таким флагом на смерть идти?
- За плюрализм, Петька! За светлое будущее и телекоммуникацию всей страны!
- Запутался, ты, Василь Иванович. И меня запутал.
- Что верно, то верно. Это от того, Петька, что языков я ихних не знаю:
  МЭЙЛ, КИЛОБАЙТ, ЮЗЕР. Надо их языков захватить и с военной тайной
  разобраться! А то скоро все нашими станут и непонятно будет,
  где в сети фронт проводить, где оборону держать.
- Да языков-то тьма, Василь Иванович, только молчат они.
  До наступления светлого будущего от показаний воздерживаются...
  Я их к сознательной помощи призываю. А они:
  "Красные - грабили, наши  пришли - еще больше грабят!
  Дождемся, когда наших наконец-то посадят. Вот тогда про взятки,
  кумовство и воровство ихнее все и расскажем,
  согласно собранному материалу. И готовы в реквизициях помочь!"
- (смахивая скупую слезу) Седлай скорее коней, Петька! Бурку мне и шашку!
  И компьютер белый и модем импортный!...
- Куда ринемся, Василий Иванович?
- А... в сеть широкую привольную, тисипи ее...!
(Удаляющийся топот отбрасываемых копыт)

ПОЯСНЕНИЯ:
РЕЛКОМ (РЕЛаибл КОМьюникэйшнз) - отечественная компьютерная сеть.
РЕВКОМ - нехорошее слово.
БЕЛЫЕ - это компьютеры, собранные в Северной Америке или в Западной Европе,
в отличие от ЖЕЛТЫХ, собранных в Азии или СНГ.
(БОЛЬШОЙ) ГОЛУБОЙ - неофициальное название компьютерного гиганта -                               гиганта - американской фирмы IBM.
    американской фирмы IBM.
НАШИ - бывшие белые и бывшие красные.
МЭЙЛ (она же МЫЛО) - почта.
КИЛОБАЙТ - штука (символов).
ЮЗЕР - кормилец, но сильно глупый.


    Часть N2 (секретная).


Перехваченные сообщения:
     ШТИРЛИЦ - ТОРГОВОМУ ЦЕНТРУ
- Предлагают дешево средство от комаров. Предоплата. Самовывоз.
     ТОРГОВЫЙ ЦЕНТР - ШТИРЛИЦУ
- Не с теми воюете. Депремируем. Отзываем.

     Штирлиц давно внедрился на узел, и служил там в должности ПОСТМАСТЕРА,
в  звании  героя невидимого фронта с правом переписки. Основным его занятем
была вербовка новой сетевой агентуры. Переправлять их через  границу  нужды
не было - сами они шастали по сети: по Америкам и прочим Израилям.
     А кто заграничных языков не выучил, те, во избежание провала, бизнесом
в  своем  фатерлянде  занимаются. И опять же купить-продать по сети быстрее
получается, чем фельдсвязью с автоматчиками.
     Оснащение каждого агента-абонента  состоит  из  компьютера  и  модема.
Агент  регистрируется  на  узле,  ему  присваивается ДОМЕН и он может слать
донесения хоть фюреру, хоть вождю, пока его разведка оплачивает переписку.
     Узел работет круглосуточно, поскольку враг не дремлет, и  поддерживает
постоянную  связь  с  Москвой.  А  уже в Москве свои люди (у всех серьезных
контор и разведок есть в Москве свои люди) обеспечивают связь с  агентурной
сетью ИНТЕРНЕТ всего мира.
     Неожиданно из командировкм вернулся Мюллер и  без  стука  на
узел зашел:
- ХАЙ, Штирлиц!
" Приветствие с пропущенной буквой "ЛЬ" в конце означает,
  что Мюллер учредил СП с американцами,"- безошибочно вычислил Штирлиц.
- Здорово, если не шутишь,- ответил Штирлиц.
" Под русского косит. На льготные кредиты рассчитывает," - понял Мюллер.
- Что слышно в мире?- спросил Мюллер.
- Да разное говорят, - откровенно ответил Штирлиц.
     И оба многое поняли.

ИНФОРМАЦИЯ К РАЗМЫШЛЕНИЮ.
     Мюллер знал, что РЕЛКОМ выступает дойной коровой различных сетюшек, но
не знал, кому это выгодно.


ПОЯСНЕНИЯ:
ПОСТМАСТЕР - немножко сапожник, но очень умный.
ИНТЕРНЕТ -  V-ый ИНТЕРНАЦИОНАЛ.
ХАЙ ( Hi - амер.) - Привет! (Выдает с головой американских шпионов).
ДОМЕН - суверенное электронное адресное пространство агента.
