Khodorkovsky Litmus Test

This is a simple test that helps to determine whether the particular Russian organization or individual support "transnational elite" and as such belongs to  the fifth column. It is based on Supporting Organizations Committee to Free Mikhail Khodorkovsky & Platon Lebedev

Basically the dividing line, to me, is that national bourgeoisie is enriching by-and-large themselves, whereas transnational (comprador) bourgeoisie is primarily enriching some foreign company (but taking a cut for itself). And in terms of politics & policy, the comprador bourgeoisie is just following the orders of foreign powers (whether direct, or applied through carrot & stick measures by IMF etc); whereas the national bourgeoisie is genuinely interested in independent economic development of the country. As new neoliberal order became dominant political force the late XX century Khodorkovsky imprisonment represent a backlash against this "new order".

The size of support of Khodorkovsky and organization involved can serve a litmus test of the power of transnational elite in Russia. So far 43 organizations and 23 prominent individuals  publicly declared Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev to be "political prisoners" ( and if we consider neoliberalism as "Marxism for the elite" and new political movement they are, at least partially, right in this statement, if we abstract from criminal misdeeds of  Khodorkovsky) .
