Hi Chris, Thank you for your posting. It's good to have such detailed build instructions. I have some comments based on my experience below. For the IzPack requirement, GE requires 4.1.1 version specifically to build the GE install GUI properly. When I tried to build it using any later version of IzPack, it caused lots of build errors. You can download the 4.1.1 version from the following page: https://github.com/jponge/izpack/tags BTW, I'm wondering why IzPack 1.4.4 is (which is mentioned in your build insttruction)? In addition, I used JUNIT 4.8.2 for my build and it worked fine. In order to build full GE distribution including man page, you will also need the following packages *SWIG:* http://sourceforge.net/projects/swig/files/swig/swig-1.3.22/swig-1.3.22.tar.gz/download JAAPI: Apache/htodcs/jaapi *Todo Doclet:* http://seekay.eidoloskop.com/java/tododoclet.html unzip TodoDoclet.zip export CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:/usr/java/latest/lib/tools.jar:. javac ListTodos.java jar cvf TodoDoclet.jar ListTodos.java ListTodos.class todo.xsl *Java Desktop Layout*: File: org-jdesktop-layout.jar *Swing Layout*: http://java.net/projects/swing-layout/ Source: svn https://svn.java.net/svn/swing-layout~svn File: swing-layout-1.0.4.jar Regards, - Chansup On Thu, Jan 12, 2012 at 5:45 PM, Chris Dagdigian <dag at sonsorol.org> wrote: > > Tried to reverse engineer my crusty old build environment into something > that I (or even others) can actually replicate or follow. > > Going to try similar for 32bit binaries as well as document the process > for RHEL/CentOS 5.x based systems in the near future... > > Short link: > http://biote.am/6y > > Long link: > http://bioteam.net/2012/01/**building-open-grid-scheduler-** > on-centos-rhel-6-2/<http://bioteam.net/2012/01/building-open-grid-scheduler-on-centos-rhel-6-2/> > > Feedback welcome. > > -dag > > > > ______________________________**_________________ > users mailing list > users at gridengine.org > https://gridengine.org/**mailman/listinfo/users<https://gridengine.org/mailman/listinfo/users> > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
